Caregiver Support Groups

Support for Those Caring the Most!
While Cumberland Hope is in the process of working towards the residential treatment center, we have started a Caregiver Support Groups specifically for parents or caregivers of special needs like trauma, mental health, developmental differences, medical complexity...etc). We know that even if a family does not require residential treatment, so many special needs families live in isolation and have no one that truly understands the challenges and joys that they live in.
We are committed to walking beside caregivers in healing and in affirming their incredible work. Caring for the caregivers around us will not only provide families with support, community and safety for their experiences that are desperately needed but will also help inform the care that we will weave into Cumberland Hope's mission of caring not only for the child but for the whole family.
We have a trained therapist facilitating empowering meeting specifically designed to meet the multifaceted needs of caregivers. This Support Group will be run by a licensed therapist and serve to help with healing but also gaining a safe community of fellow caregivers who "get it" and support each other. If you would like to help or want to be a part of this support group, please contact us via email. We would be happy to connect you to ways to help or receive news about upcoming support group events. We currently provide an in-person group for North West Georgia and the Chattanooga area and Virtual support group. For more information, contact: Deanna Hall at deanna@cumberlandhope.org
