Policies for Protection
At Cumberland Hope, we are dedicated to our children, families, staff and visitors having a safe and respectful time that honors healing. Below are some of our policies in place that we abide by.
Discrimination
Cumberland Hope does not discriminate based on race, color, national and ethnic origin in its rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to children at this program including our school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, disability, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, or tuition assistance programs.
Admission
Cumberland Hope reserves the right to accept children and families to our programs based on our clinical criteria for admittance as well as need for specialized education. In order to serve children and families best, we have to make sure our program will be helpful and a good fit for each child and family.
Religious Affiliation
Cumberland Hope is born out of the hope that comes from Christ. We see the value and need for our children, staff and families to have the opportunity to grow and heal spiritually. We will never force our Christian heritage on any child or family, but will provide opportunities for our children, staff and families to engage in services that encourage knowing Christ and the healing He brings. At Cumberland Hope, we have some practices that encourage our children and families to be able to be open about faith. Cumberland Hope encourages any family or child wanting those services or therapists to help with spiritual matters to take advantage of our full person care. Always feel free to talk with us openly and respectfully if you have questions or concerns.
